Refund policy for income tax returns (Form 11)

This page applies when you buy our income tax return service as an individual in MyIncorpro. Your full terms are shown before you pay and emailed to you after you pay, before we start work.

You can cancel within 14 days of paying. You do not need to give a reason. If we have not started preparing your return, you get a full refund.

• When you pay, you ask us to start straight away. If you cancel after we have started, we refund the fee less the work already done. For each tax year:
  • preparation started, draft not sent: you pay no more than 40% of that year's price;
  • draft sent, not filed: you pay no more than 80% of that year's price;
  • return filed: you pay that year's full price.

  We charge only for the share of the work actually done, and never more than these limits.

• After the 14 days, you can still end the contract at any time before we have filed all your returns and sent the final documents. The same rule applies.
• Once we have filed all the returns you paid for and sent you the final documents, you can no longer cancel.

We also refund you

• We cannot act for you. For example, we cannot verify your identity. You get the full price for every return we have not filed.
• We end the contract after 14 days' written notice. This happens if we did not get information we need, or you did not approve our agent request. You get the price less the work already done.
• You say no to extra work the return needs, and we cannot file correctly without it. You get that year's price less the work already done.
• You paid twice. You get the duplicate payment in full.
• You did not need to file a return for a year. If we should have spotted this before you paid, you get the full price for that year. Otherwise, you get that year's price less the work already done.
• We are at fault. If we miss a timing promise in section 8 of your terms for a reason within our control, or our work is not done with reasonable care and skill, we put it right at no cost and pay any Revenue surcharge, interest or penalty that this caused. If filing on time was essential, because you told us so before paying or because it was clear from the circumstances when you paid, you can end the contract and get the full price back for every return we have not filed.

If your return is referred to a person to price, you pay nothing unless you accept that price and pay.

How we pay refunds. Within 14 days, to the card you paid with, at no cost to you.

Our fee never includes the tax you owe Revenue. We cannot refund tax; Revenue does that.

This policy does not affect your legal rights as a consumer.
